Ultra Week started with a series of questions: What if? What if I started running? What if I ran farther? What if I ran an Ultra? What if I ran multiple Ultras? During every event I questioned fervently why I was doing this, and without fail - after every event - those questions were answered.

My best friend Landon Lesser - Co-Founder of Ultra Week - and I unofficially started Ultra Week in July of 2024; we wanted to go beyond running just Ultras, we wanted to elevate ourselves to a level we once thought impossible. Our ardent drive toward constant self-betterment fueled our journey from the comfort of our own self-pity to completing numerous Ultras every year.

I went from couch to Ultrarunner in 14 months.

In exhibit B - May of 2025 - Landon and I once again set out to complete Ultra Week, this one much harder than the last. Ultra Week 2025: Road to Evolution featured a staple 12-hour run on Monday, a 35-miler on Wednesday, and concluded with our most daunting challenge at the time on Friday - a 60 mile run.

As we suffered forward through Ultra Week, a vision for what this event could one day become carefully cultivated itself in our minds. And then, one week after the conclusion of Ultra Week, the event was officially established.

We want nothing more than to see not only the improvement of a society - but the evolution of a society; and it starts with getting excited about the possibilities of what you can accomplish.

”Ultra week made my life healthier, rather than wasting away in the weight I gained during Covid, it made my mindset healthier, made me less angry. It improved my life ten fold, took me places I never thought I’d be, and let me accomplish things I thought were impossible or difficult. Ultra Week was the first watering hole for miles in a drought. It gave me life.” - Landon Lesser, Co-Founder of Ultra Week.

”I found salvation in Jesus Christ - I found salvation for the second time in Ultrarunning.” - Connor Martin, Co-Founder of Ultra Week
