Welcome to Ultra Week 2026: Mountainous Mayhem. This is not a traditional race. This is an extreme, decentralized endurance event that will push you to test your limits. Before you join, please understand: You are responsible for yourself.
- Ultra Week is a self-supported event. You choose your routes, your pacing, and the safety precautions you take.- You may experience extreme exhaustion, fatigue, injury, illness, or worse.We are not your medical team.
- Ultra Initiative provides zero medical oversight.- Attain medical clearance if you are unsure about your health.You accept the risks.
- Dehydration, heat stroke, hypothermia, rhabdomyolysis, muscle tears, broken bones, weather, and wildlife are all possibilities.- You accept that these risks are a part of the challenge.You can’t hold us liable.
- By signing, you agree to not sue Ultra Initiative, its founders, team members, or affiliates for any injuries, losses, or damages.We may use event media.
- If you share content or appear in photos/videos, you agree that we can use them for future promotion.This is a global event but falls under West Virginia Law.
Ultra Week is a global event; however, all legal matters fall under West Virginia, USA, law.

Acknowledgement of Risk
I acknowledge that participation in Ultra Week 2026: Mountainous Mayhem hosted by Ultra Initiative, LLC, involves extreme physical exertion, potential injury, illness, or death. I understand the risks include but are not limited to: Overuse Injuries (stress fractures, tendonitis, rhabdomyolysis).
Acute Injuries (sprains, falls, cuts, blisters).
Environmental Risks (extreme weather, traffic, terrain, wildlife).
Medical Risks (dehydration, heat stroke, hypothermia, cardiac events).
Mental and emotional stress as a result of prolonged exertion, sleep deprivation, and exhaustion.
I freely and voluntarily accept these risks as a condition of participation. Medical Fitness to Participate
I certify I am physically fit to participate in Ultra Week 2026: Mountainous Mayhem.
I understand the Organizer – Ultra Initiative, LLC – is not providing medical care, supervision, or rescue.
I accept full responsibility for monitoring my own condition before, during, and after participation.
Assumption of Responsibility
I agree to: Supply my own hydration, nutrition, and safety gear.
Use good judgement, follow local laws, and prioritize safety.
Cease participation if I feel unsafe, unwell, or unfit to continue.
Release the Organizer – Ultra Initiative, LLC – from any duty to provide rescue, transportation, or medical care.
Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate, I release and hold harmless: Ultra Initiative, LLC.
Its founders, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, affiliates, successors, and assigns.
From any liability, claim, or cause of action related to: Personal Injury, illness, disability, or death.
Property loss or damage.
Negligence by the Organizer – Ultra Initiative, LLC – except for proven gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
This release applies to myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and defend Ultra Initiative, LLC from any claims, damages, legal fees, or liabilities arising from my participation, including third-party claims caused by my actions. Photographs, Recordings, and Marketing
I grant Ultra Initiative, LLC the right to record, photograph, and/or film my participation and use my name, image, voice, and likeness in promotional materials worldwide, in perpetuity, without compensation. Global Applicability & Governing Law
I understand Ultra Week is a global virtual event. Regardless of where I reside or participate, I agree that this waiver is governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in West Virginia courts. Severability
If any provision of this waiver is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable. Acknowledgement of Understanding
I HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY. I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. I SIGN THIS FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
