We’re Ultramarathon Runners. We’ve consumed countless “energy” products throughout our days, to most notably include the famous Energy Gel. I personally am a massive fan of the gel product: a simple tear-top sachet pouch that delivers energy in a fairly reasonable manner, but I wasn’t a fan of what was available. Either the gel didn’t have nearly enough energy, requiring I consume many, or it was too runny and made a mess, or it included Maltodextrin in its list of ingredients - a processed carbohydrate that has been in the news recently for its negative effects on the GI tract of athletes.

Each 27 Energy gel contains 35g’s of tapioca-based carbohydrates, giving 27 Energy a gel that has been formulated for smoother digestion under stress with a cleaner ingredient profile. Other than the nutritional benefit, the “macro” gel concept allows runners to consumer fewer and fuel their runs longer for a price that gives you more energy per dollar. But it doesn’t stop there, the 27 Energy Gel even had its viscosity calculated personally by Founder Connor Martin, seeking to find the most successful balance between runny and gelatinous.

“One Macro Gel, one less thing to worry about when everything else starts hurting.”

“We don’t get lazy with ingredients because you can’t afford to get lazy at mile 20.”
